Advisory Board

Purpose:

The BYX Advisory Board serves to assist the Executive Board of Directors in maintaining the purpose of the fraternity, aid in the expansion of the vision to other campuses, and assist in fundraising avenues that help to maintain the overall financial health of the ministry.

Dillon E. Barker

Dillon was a Founding Father of Nu Chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He was initiated as a Brother Under Christ in August 2003. Dillon was the founding President of Nu Chapter, and he served in that office for three semesters. Drawn to the concept of a Christian social fraternity by the experiences of others, Dillon saw God\'s power dramatically displayed during the establishment of Nu Chapter -- and it changed his life.

Dillon is a native of Rogersville, Tennessee, a small, rural town in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Dillon graduated from Vanderbilt in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and in History. In May 2008, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Samford University\'s Cumberland School of Law. Dillon currently practices law in Nashville.

Drew Christman

Drew Christman is a co-founder of the Gamma Chapter of BYX at Texas A&M University serving as the founding Vice President and later Chaplain. BYX has been one of the most important spiritual experiences of his life helping to shape the trajectory of his walk with Christ, and instill a passion for God and His Kingdom. Drew now serves on the BYX Advisory Board.

Drew received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from Texas A&M in 1996. He received his Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1999. Drew currently practices law in Las Colinas, Texas with a focus on business litigation, entertainment and sports law, corporate representation, complex civil litigation, personal injury, and estate planning. Drew is married to Clarissa Christman (Texas A&M 1995) and has two strapping boys, Austin Andrew and Justus Cole.

Jared Musgrove

Jared Steven Musgrove and his beautiful wife, Jenny , live in Fort Worth, Tx where he currently serves as Discipleship Pastor at Normandale Baptist Church. Jared holds a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he was named \"Outstanding Senior Journalist\" in his graduating class. While at OU BYX Jared served two terms as chaplain and one as president. Jared served nearly two years on BYX national staff as a ministry associate before being called to NBC.

Jared utilizes many of the discipleship principles gleaned from his years in BYX to train up and equip disciples and disciple-makers in the local church. His passions are for one-on-one discipleship (especially among men), teaching, and preaching. He enjoys quality time with his wife, his mentee, their friends and church family, writing fiction, keeping up on current events, Sooner football, Superman, and reading theology, ficition, and Christian literature.

Loren Hsiao

Loren Hsiao attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2000 from the business school. He was a member of Brothers Under Christ from 1997-2000. During those years he had the opportunity to serve BYX as social chair in 1999 and President in 2000. God used the men in BYX to be an important tool in the development of his relationship with Christ.

After graduation from Texas A&M in 2000, Loren joined Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He is the Managing Director of Texas Financial Group - Allen representing Northwestern Mutual. His firm serves its clients in a variety of insurance, investment, and retirement needs.

Loren and his wife, Stephanie (Texas A&M, 1997) were married in 2003. They live in Allen and have 2 boys, Aidan and Caleb. They attend Allen Bible Church and are committed to their Life Group ministry.

After graduating from Texas A&M in 2001, David moved to Dallas and began his business career. Fortunate to marry a terrific godly woman Sara, and blessed with a beautifully sweet girl Katherine, David wakes to experience God’s new blessings each and everyday. Currently serving as director of The PKU Foundation, committee member at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, and Vice President of Quiltcraft Ind., David is both humbled and excited to serve on the advisory board. BYX played an important role in the development of David’s spiritual life, providing mentorship, leadership and spiritual growth through college and beyond. It is David’s desire that all college age men across the country be afforded the opportunity to experience the amazing work God can accomplish through BYX.

 Joshua Brown

Joshua Brown attended The University of Texas and graduated in 2006. He was a member of the Alpha Chapter of Brothers Under Christ during his four years in college. While there, he had the opportunity to serve as Cell Group Coordinator, Island Party Fundraising Chair and President. In 2009, Joshua was appointed to the BYX Advisory Board.

As a third generation native Houstonian, Joshua moved back home following graduation and began his career in real estate. Since 2006, he has worked as a real estate consultant with Jackson Cooksey, where he represents corporations in their real estate needs.

Joshua, his beautiful wife, Jennifer, and son, Caleb, recently bought a house on the west side of Houston. They attend Houston’s First Baptist Church and are involved with their Sunday School class, After I Do.
